Jacqueline is the Chief Executive of the Government Technology Agency of Singapore, with key competencies in infocomm technology and related engineering.
As the implementing agency for Singapore’s Smart Nation and Digital Government initiatives, Jacqueline and her team in GovTech partner government agencies to deploy digital, data science, IoT and other technologies to deliver public impact, as well as to ensure the resiliency and cybersecurity needs of government systems.
Jacqueline was previously Managing Director of the Infocommunications Development Authority, GovTech’s predecessor organisation; and has held key positions in the Ministry of Manpower, the Ministry of Finance, the Prime Minister’s Office and the Ministry of Defence.
Jacqueline sits on the boards of the Infocomm Media Development Authority, Defence Science and Technology Agency, Institute of Systems Science and St Luke’s Eldercare.
Title: Sustainable Development and Smart Nation
Ms Poh will speak on how smart nation plays a role in designing a sustainable Singapore. She will share how the advent of digital capabilities such as Virtual Singapore improves urban planning. The increased deployment of smart sensors catalysed by projects such as the Smart Nation Sensor Platform allows increasingly interactive and predictive models to be made available to both planners and policy makers. These technologies come together to provide anticipatory and effective services for citizens to enhance their quality of life.
